NZUKO ANAMBRA CELEBRATES MOTHERHOOD - May 7, 2023.
Nzuko  Anambra  Massachusetts, is an  umbrella  organization  uniting  all  New  England  residents  from Anambra state,  Nigeria.
Mother’s  Day  is  that  special  time  of  the  year  Nzuko  men  celebrate  their  women  in  style. It's  that  day  of the  year  to  spread  cheer  and  get  special  gifts  from  our  men. Anambra  women  are  the  most  beautiful  women  on  the  planet earth. "Umu  Nwayi  eji  eme Ngala. Ndi  Nne  Mama, Iso Kwa!!!"  Mother's day greetings  in  Igbo language.
Traditionally, on Mother's day we come together to celebrate and to pay tribute to the extraordinary women and mother figures who have nurtured us from the very beginning. It is always a time we reflect on the endless support, guidance and unconditional love, and sacrifices our Mothers have bestowed upon us. On special occasions like Mother's Day, the Mother figures in Nzuko Anambra often wear their best traditional clothes which are mostly made with Ankara or lace fabrics to show off and take photographs. After all, Mothers are the reason for our existence and they deserve all the respect, attention, and Love. Mother's Day Celebrations are always a blast.
But this year Mother's day Celebration was one of a kind! Our Men went the extra mile to honor their women. They threw a huge party for the mothers. All kinds of dishes and delicacies were served. The women danced to the rhythm and beats of the best music in the world. They ate, drank to their satisfaction, and partied all night long . Our men also entertained us with a special drama presentation and gave every woman present fabrics as gifts . Finally, the women graced the occasion with their cultural Ejemmili dance. It was an awesome, most exciting event.
We are  proud  of  our men!  Our  men are the  fortress  of  our  families. They are the backbone  powerfully  supporting  Nzuko Anambra organization.   Nzuko men, you are the pillars of our families and our Nigerian Boston community. Thank you all!!!
